03
peanuts farm
20 min tuktuk drive south.
A right-hand point with two distinct sections. The inside section is more forgiving and suits beginners and intermediate surfers. Further down the point, the wave becomes stronger, forming long, powerful walls and occasional barrels when conditions align. On good days, the two sections can be connected into a longer ride. Limited board rentals nearby — best to bring a board from Arugam Bay.
04
ELEPHANT ROCK
15 min tuk-tuk south + 5–6 min walk.
A right-hand break located beside the large rock known as Elephant Rock. The wave offers a long, flowing ride that runs from near the rock toward the beach. Suitable for intermediate surfers, and approachable on smaller days. The setting is open and scenic, with the break unfolding along the shoreline rather than over a reef. On the way in, you’ll pass a lagoon often home to crocodiles, so awareness and local advice are important. No consistent board rentals on the spot — best to rent in Arugam Bay.
